Come to the pulpit as if "wooing a bride"

Walther encouraged his students to:
“make a vow to God … that you will not stand in your pulpits sad-faced, as if you were bidding men to come to a funeral, but like men that go wooing a bride or announcing a wedding” (p. 406).
